Fall 2020 and 2021

Course Description

Three hours of classroom instruction and three hours of laboratory per week. Describes the evolutionary development, ecology and diversity of mammals world-wide and within New York State. Laboratory exercises and discussions complement lectures, providing hands-on experience in identification, adaptive morphology, and techniques in field mammalogy. Fall. Prerequisites: Junior standing in EFB. 4cr.

My Role

I served as the lead graduate teaching assistant for this course. My duties included 1) developing slides for lecture portions of lab based on previous iterations of the course, 2) presenting information to students to prepare them for  lab activities, 3) guiding students through lab activities, 4) developing the lab practicals, 5) preparing and organizing lab specimens and other learning materials each week for all lab sections, 6) holding office hours each week.
